Worst Day Ever

It started with my toaster going off. I tripped into the floor/wall and managed to sprain my ankle. Then, I fried my breakfast, which was meant to be a delicious pancake. To top it all off, I lost my wallet and was stuck for work/school/an important meeting.

My day just went getting worse from there. I had a terrible meeting/presentation/conversation with my boss/teacher/friend, and then I got caught in the most agonizing traffic jam/rain storm/heat wave imaginable. By the end of the day, I was exhausted.

This truly was simply the most awful day ever!

It all began/started/unfolded gradually/abruptly/swiftly that chilly/dreary/stormy morning/afternoon/night. A subtle/ominous/foreboding feeling/presence/aura of unease/terror/discomfort settled over me like a heavy/suffocating/unbearable blanket. Little/ Everything seemed/felt out of place/off/wrong. The world around me became/transformed/shifted into a distorted/nightmarish/bizarre landscape, and I was trapped/helpless/abandoned in the midst of it all. My heart/breath/mind raced as a wave of terror/panic/fear engulfed/washed over/consumed me. It was my worst nightmare, playing out before my very eyes, more horrifying than I could have ever imagined/conceived/anticipated.
